Máxime Kuczynski (2 February 1890 – 1967) was a Polish-German-Peruvian physician. Máxime Kuczynski was born in Poznań, Poland the son of Louis and Emma Kuczynski. The family moved to Berlin, Germany shortly after his birth. He studied medicine and natural science at the University of Rostock. In 1913 he received his degree in philosophy, and in 1919 a degree in medicine. During World War I, he served in the German army and participated in the Balkans Campaign. In 1924, he received professorship. After the Nazis came to power he fled to Peru. Between 1924 and 1926 he conducted anthropological research in central Asia, and later, between 1938 and 1948, in Peru.
